As the Services Manager, you will lead, build, motivate, and support a multifunctional team providing the full range of ALONE’s support services (including the recruitment of volunteers) in the area you support.
Responsibilities
- Lead and deliver ALONE’s core services, including Support Coordination, Befriending (Visitation & Telephone), Volunteer Engagement, and Technology Support for older people.
- Drive strong, strategic partnerships with local Statutory, Community, and Voluntary organisations to maximise impact.
- Champion ALONE’s mission locally, promoting services, building referral pathways, and expanding community capacity to support older people.
- Ensure excellence in service delivery, meeting all HSE agreement objectives and delivering accurate, timely reporting.
- Identify and address service gaps, collaborating across sectors to design and implement effective, person-centred solutions.
- Provide impactful reports to funders, stakeholders, and leadership—using data to tell the story and shape the future.
- Inspire high-performing teams through effective people management, continuous development, and a strong culture of improvement.
- Deliver on ALONE’s strategic goals, aligning your team’s work to achieve ambitious targets and lasting change.

Essential skills & experience
- Self-motivated person who is committed to ALONE’s mission
- Educated to Degree Level or significant relevant experience.
- Minimum 3 years proven experience in service operations.
- Able to maintain the highest standards of confidentiality, discretion, and respect.
- Minimum of 2-year staff management experience, including support and performance management of teams
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to engage effectively with stakeholders both internally & externally
- A collaborative team player who fosters strong internal and external relationships.
- Proactive problem-solver, using innovation to improve service delivery and support independent older person and the people we serve.
- Strong time management and organisational skills to prioritise workload and meet KPIs.
