We are seeking a motivated and experienced Site Supervisor to oversee day-to-day operations on construction projects throughout Cork.
Responsibilities
Health & Safety
Implement and enforce site-specific Safety Statements and procedures.
Supervise subcontractors to ensure compliance with company H&S policies.
Work with the Site Agent/Project Manager to prepare Risk Assessments and Method Statements (RAMS).
Lead inductions, toolbox talks, and daily safety briefings.
Carry out site inspections and complete reports via designated platforms (e.g., PowerApps).
Quality Management
Ensure all work meets project specifications and quality standards.
Identify and rectify defects, ensuring client approval on completion.
Record non-conformances and assist in continuous improvement processes.
Environmental Compliance
Verify that all environmental permits are in place before works begin.
Oversee site practices to prevent environmental issues and maintain compliance.
Site Operations & Planning
Manage daily operations, including labour, subcontractors, and plant/equipment.
Prepare short-term programmes and monitor progress effectively.
Coordinate with clients, engineers, and internal teams on project updates.
Documentation & Reporting
Maintain accurate site documentation (RAMS, permits, diaries, progress records).
Provide clear and timely progress updates at project meetings.
Take ownership of HSQE action points and ensure prompt resolution.
Team Leadership
Supervise and allocate work to teams for maximum productivity.
Resolve on-site issues quickly to maintain workflow.
Support staff development and identify future leaders.
Requirements
Minimum 5 years’ experience as a Foreman or Site Supervisor in Ireland or the UK.
Strong knowledge of H&S, quality, environment, and cost control.
Valid Site Safety Supervisor Certification (or equivalent).
Excellent communication skills in English (both written and verbal).
Full, clean driving licence.
Must be eligible to work in Ireland (no visa sponsorship available).
