Special Education Teacher (Term Time) – Nexus Preschool

Starting from €22.11 per hour
Nexus Preschool is a specialist early intervention preschool catering to children with Autism aged 3 to 6 years. We provide a structured, supportive learning environment with a low student-teacher ratio (6:4) to deliver individualized education plans and promote meaningful development.
Key Responsibilities:
- Implement and deliver Individual Education Plans (IEPs) tailored to each child’s needs.
- Create a warm and nurturing environment where children feel safe and supported.
- Work collaboratively with the Behaviour Support Team to implement intervention strategies.
- Support and encourage children’s communication and social skills development.
- Teach essential life skills to foster independence in daily activities.
- Engage in structured play and interactive learning activities.
- Assist the Head Teacher in the daily operation of the classroom.
- Participate in training and ongoing professional development.
Requirements:
- Level 8 or 9 degree in a relevant field such as Montessori Education, Primary Education, Early Childhood Education, Social Care, Psychology, or a related discipline.
- Must be eligible for registration with the Teaching Council of Ireland (Further Education Section).
