We are currently recruiting for a Sponsorship Lead to join the Leopardstown Racecourse team on a permanent basis.

Key Responsibilities:
The responsibilities include:
- Work with the Racecourse (RC) & Commercial teams to develop high quality, commercially successful event sponsorship models
- Identification, Lead Generation, Prospecting & Acquisition of sponsors of all races at each Leopardstown in conjunction with CEO & HRI Racecourse (HRI RC) Commercial Department
- Management & Activation of Leopardstown Sponsors including creation of individual activation plans & post-event reviews and reports. Local administration and activation of HRI RC Group level Partners, alongside any other commercial sponsorships relevant to Leopardstown.
- Lead as Leopardstown Racecourse Sponsorship Account Coordinator and Liaison with HRI RC Commercial Department and other business units in the wider organisation.
- Collaboration with HRI RC Commercial Department to identify, build and go to market with partner properties outside of race sponsorship for Leopardstown
- Line Manager for Racecourse Client Services Executive to include career and personal development
- Oversee Ownership product & service management which is executed by Racecourse Client Services Executive
- Liaise with Marketing Department on activation requirements and deliverables for Sponsors
- Ongoing benchmarking and comparative analysis on the domestic and international landscape
- Sponsorship Budget Management & monthly tracking against KPIs & Targets.
- Collaboration with colleagues responsible for Race Planning to ensure alignment on commercial funding into races.
- Planning and Organisation of Sponsorship Business Development & Appreciation Events for Leopardstown
- Build and maintain strong external relationships with existing and potential sponsors, corporate partners, and supporters, through securing and leading business meetings and maintaining strong relationships
- Manage relationships with third party suppliers, supervise brand activations and events on-site to ensure partner expectations are met and exceeded
- Raceday duties, primarily management of sponsors and ensuring their requirements are met during a raceday
- Along with your colleagues play a key role in the management of raceday activities on the day
- Work closely with members of the HRI & Racecourse Commercial, Marketing and wider teams to ensure alignment of activities with wider business objectives
- Any other duties as requested by your line manager and within your capabilities.
Skills and Experience:
- A relevant qualification with a minimum of 3 years' experience in sponsorship, brand activations, marketing or event management
- Excellent presentation, communication and project management skills with experience in Client Management & Communications.
- Involvement in a client or customer-facing role with excellent organisational ability and a strong focus on accuracy and attention to detail.
- Experience in managing sponsorship campaigns end to end (from contract negotiation to delivery of campaign activity) would be an advantage.
- Commercial acumen with good business development skills.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build and maintain strong relationships.
- Strong experience of Microsoft packages.
- A knowledge or interest in racing is not essential but is advantageous
- A dependable team player with proven ability to work to deadlines.
- Ability to work on own initiative while coordinating activities within a team environment.
