Marketing Assistant - Events and Sponsorship

The Marketing Assistant will work within the Marketing Team and will be involved in all aspects of the hospital's marketing activity including sponsorships and events, consumer advertising, content design and production, staff communications, hospital newsletters and more.
The ideal candidate will have a qualification in Marketing or related field, have strong writing skills and be highly organised.
Job Description
- Event Support - assisting our Events & Sponsorship Manager with organising our many different company events such as regular GP conferences, staff awareness days, Nurses Day, staff social events, sporting sponsorships and charity balls.
- Sponsorship Support - assisting our Events & Sponsorship Manager with liaising with the various clubs and organisations sponsored by the hospital (sporting, charity etc). This will include working with Kilmacud Crokes on the hospital's main sponsorship of the Club.
- Administrative Tasks - Assisting with the daily administrative tasks associated with the running of the department including PO requests, stock room management, branded merchandise, stationary ordering etc.
- Marketing Material - assisting with all support materials for events and sponsorships including ordering of promotional/branded material and literature eg. branded water bottles, t-shirts, pens, brochures, signage, flags, posters and flyers.
- Design & Print - producing new posters, leaflets and literature (print & digital) for the hospital. Liaising with each department for content, graphic design company for design and Procurement for printing requirements.
- Staff Comms - Writing content for our staff comms updates - including for staff newsletters and emails, production of notices for staff areas eg clock-in station.
- Consumer and GP Newsletters and e-marketing - assisting with content, creation and production of our GP and Consumer Newsletters and e-mail marketing.
- Campaigns - assisting the Team with creation of new advertising campaigns.
- Budget - working closely with the rest of the marketing team to manage the marketing budget to ensure that all marketing activity and purchase orders are within budget.
- Creativity - bringing new and creative ideas to a team that is always open to trying new and exciting marketing methods!
Skill Set
- Degree in marketing or related qualification
- Creative and a real passion for marketing
- Confident, self-starter with the ability to engage with people on all levels
- Strong writing skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work off own initiative
- Excellent organisational skills and advanced in excel, word and PowerPoint
- Ability to think outside of the box and come up with new and creative marketing ideas.
- Good at photography, videography and graphic design is a bonus.
