Storyboard Artist

The Storyboard Artist is a key creative, storyboarding on an animated TV series/3D CGI production. Working with the Episodic Director(s) and Director, you will be part of a dynamic, creative team, storyboarding for an animated TV series/3D CGI production with the best use of 3d space and camera.

Successful candidate must have the right to work in Ireland for the duration of the contract.

Collaborating with the Episodic Director to create the highest quality storyboard drawings with the best use of 3D space and cameras.

Realising Director’s episode vision by giving storyboard handout material attention.

Responding efficiently to notes and be able to translate revisions during storyboard rough review.

Adhering to the quality and style of the show and make sure it is consistently achieved in your drawings.

Meeting all deadlines as determined by the Production Team.

Proactively communicating regularly with production team/Episodic Director on progress.

Knowledge

o Strong understanding of acting and animation posing.
o Production schedule and deadlines.

Experience

o 3D animation experience (desirable).
o Background in producing storyboards on several previous productions - successfully.
o Track record of working effectively with production and Director teams.
o Demonstrable passion for storytelling.
o Experienced in digital drawing techniques.

Technical skills

o Excellent drawing skills.
o Ability to translate Director’s creative vision.
o Ability to interpret script and translate it into visual form.
o Strong composition skills.
o Must be able to use digital software such as Storyboard Pro and Photoshop.
o Animation Qualification (desirable).
