The Technical Salesperson (Leinster Region) is accountable for partnering with key end-users and engineering companies to deliver productivity gains and increased operational efficiencies. This will be accomplished by on-site end-user focused activities, including product recommendations, application support, and on-site product testing.
This role would be ideal for someone who is self-motivated, organised, and works on their own initiative.
Key tasks & Responsibilities:
- Identify, penetrate, and close end-user opportunities.
- Build and maintain long-lasting, strong relationships with customer leadership while partnering with them to better understand their needs.
- Collaborate with the internal Product Team at our clients HQ in Co Cavan to specify existing or develop new products that deliver productivity enhancing solutions to the end-user.
- Conduct face-to-face sales calls, deliver product presentations and services that will bring value to the customers business.
- Conduct product testing and collect performance data which will be used to provide value proposition to the customer.
- Utilise CRM to manage a pipeline of opportunities through our clients sales process in support of achieving assigned sales targets.
- Represent the business at industry relevant trade shows and events.
- Maintain expert product and industry knowledge.
- The work environment changes daily and involves work at manufacturing sites and remote areas within the assigned account responsibility.
Skills & Experience required:
- Fabrication experience within the metal or OEM Agri machinery manufacturing sectors.
- Technical sales experience within engineering and or metal work industry.
- A track record of success selling value-added solutions and solving problems in the engineering sector.
- Strong organisational, planning and troubleshooting skills
- Excellent customer service skills, ability to collaborate within a team.
- The role requires travel around the Leinster region.
- Valid driving licence will be required.
