THE ROLE
As part of the Global Manufacturing & Supply (GMS) organization, the Vice President, Global Network Strategy will play a key leadership role in shaping and advancing Zoetis' global network strategy.
Reporting directly to the SVP, Global Supply Chain & Network Strategy, the Vice President will serve as a key member of the Global Supply Chain & Network Strategy leadership team, partnering closely with cross-functional stakeholders to drive strategic network planning, capacity modelling, make-vs-buy analysis, and transformational initiatives aligned with Zoetis’ mission and long-term supply chain goals.
This role is central to fostering integration and innovation across our network and will collaborate with all GMS functions including Manufacturing (internal and external), Quality, Global Supply Chain, Finance, Human Resources, Global Engineering and Global Manufacturing Technology to assure an aligned and agreed upon long-term supply and network strategy. In addition, this role manages all aspects of required strategic services which include Program Management (PMO), New Product Innovation & Systems, capital program management, Make vs Buy and supply chain location determinations along with the Future GMS transformation program for continuous systems improvements and evolution.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead the Global Network Strategy team in advancing strategic initiatives aligned with Zoetis’ long-term supply and manufacturing goals.
- Serve as a key member of both the Global Supply Chain & Network Strategy and GMS leadership teams, collaborating with partners closely to identify and implement strategic initiatives that enhance business outcomes and customer value.
- Oversee the GMS PMO (Programme Management Team) for network strategy initiatives by fostering cross-functional trust and partnership, ensuring strong project governance and timely delivery of complex pharmaceutical manufacturing programs.
- Drive strategic sourcing decisions and ensure timely market authorizations by aligning manufacturing capabilities with global regulatory and commercial requirements.
- Oversee capital investment governance across the manufacturing network to ensure disciplined, value-driven allocation that supports growth, compliance, and innovation.
- Oversee development of global manufacturing platform strategies by cultivating partnerships and trust with key stakeholders to optimize footprint, capacity, and responsiveness.
- Partner on business development activities to assess and integrate manufacturing network implications of M&A, licensing, and new market entry opportunities.
- Champion transformational programs and continuous improvement, including the Future GMS initiative.
- Communicate proactively with global stakeholders to share strategy updates, resolve issues, and promote best practices.
- Champion the use of data and analytics, encouraging a culture of data-informed decision-making. Support the team’s access to and interpretation of key supply chain and manufacturing data to inform strategies.
- Champion a diverse, inclusive, and development-focused work environment where colleagues feel valued and empowered to grow.
- Develop and maintain strong working relationships across internal stakeholders, empowering the team to operate effectively while providing mentorship and guidance as needed.

EXPERIENCE
The ideal candidate is a seasoned executive with 20+ years of progressive experience in global operations, strategy, and integrated supply chain leadership within complex, multi-site international organizations. At least five years of this experience should be in the pharma or animal health sectors.
They will bring a strong track record in strategy development, execution of complex projects, performance measurement, and organizational leadership. Proven success in managing global facility networks, leading high-performing teams, and driving cross-functional initiatives is essential.
Strong analytical, communication, and leadership skills are required, along with the ability to thrive in a matrixed, dynamic environment while managing multiple priorities across functions and geographies.
The candidate will be able to work effectively in a complex global business organized as a matrix, with its inevitable ambiguities, and will be able to manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritize work, goals and tasks in a cross functional/site/divisional environment.
EDUCATION
The person we seek has an undergraduate degree in engineering, business or science; a Master's degree desirable. Further qualifications will include ideally a relevant advanced degree, or training/certificate in manufacturing or supply chain.
