Since opening just 7 months ago, we’ve become known for high-quality food, great coffee, and a fresh, welcoming atmosphere. As we continue to grow, we’re looking for friendly and professional wait staff to join our team.
Job Summary: As a member of our front-of-house team, you’ll play a key role in delivering excellent service. From greeting customers to managing orders and supporting smooth service during busy hours, you’ll help ensure that every customer enjoys their time at Baker51.
Key Responsibilities:
- Greet and seat customers with a warm and friendly attitude.
- Take orders accurately and efficiently, offering menu suggestions and answering any customer questions.
- Serve food and drinks promptly, ensuring that all orders meet the café’s quality standards.
- Provide excellent customer service throughout the dining experience, ensuring customers feel welcomed and looked after.
- Handle payments and operate the point-of-sale system accurately.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation in the dining area, ensuring tables are set and cleared quickly.
- Assist with any customer inquiries or special requests, ensuring a positive experience.
- Work collaboratively with kitchen staff and baristas to ensure smooth service, especially during busy periods.
- Uphold all health, safety, and hygiene standards in the café environment.
Key Requirements:
- Previous experience in a café, restaurant, or hospitality environment is preferred but not essential.
- A friendly, approachable demeanour and a commitment to providing exceptional service.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work well in a team.
- Ability to take orders accurately and ensure that all customer needs are met.
- A can-do approach and willingness to pitch in as needed to ensure smooth café operations.
- Able to handle busy periods and work efficiently in a fast-paced setting.
Working Hours: Full-time position available. Flexibility is required, including weekends.
