Job Description
Unfortunately, we are unable to offer visa sponsorship for this role.
The purpose of this role is to process customer samples while maintaining consistent customer service, efficiency, quality and accuracy standards as required by the company.
Please note this is a part time 3 month fixed term contract ending 30/09/2025. Working 15 hours per week - Saturday and Sunday 09:00 till 17:00. The training shift for the first two weeks will be Monday and Tuesday 09:00 till 17:00.
- Responsible for accurately logging samples and making necessary changes in the LIMS system in a timely manner.
- Responsible for the taking in of customer samples, sorting and labelling them while ensuring that the correct information is recorded onto the LIMS system for samples that are to be analysed.
- Responsible for sub-contracting samples as required, sorting, labelling, tracking of samples and results.
- Responsible for supporting the sales and customer services team in administration and planning.
- This person must be constantly aware of the customer’s requirements and should strive to meet those requirements.
- Responsible for handling any customer related queries where necessary and liaising with their team to problem solve these queries if needed.
- Responsible for communicating regularly and reporting any technical queries/issues with the Laboratory Manager /Laboratory Supervisor/Team Leads/AST’s.
- Ensure Compliance to the 17025 standard at all times by adhering to the in house quality procedures provided.
- Complete all documentation including training sheets on time, accurately and legibly.
- Undertaking general administration duties including photocopying, typing, filing etc. as required.
- Adhere to all company standards in the area of safety, housekeeping and quality, notifying the Section Leader / Laboratory Manager of any discrepancies.
- Keep the working area clean and tidy, assist with sample disposal and general laboratory cleaning and maintenance.
- Identify continual improvement in the customer’s overall experience with Eurofins by liaising with internal departments within Eurofins to ensure we meet our clients demands in a cost effective manner.
- Responsible for facilitating training of other staff when required.
- Provide cover for other members of staff as required.
- Be flexible to work in any area of the business as is required.
- Completion of other duties as required.
Qualifications
- Educated to level 6 or above in scientific field.
- Previous experience working within an accredited contract testing laboratory is preferred but not essential.
- Good computer skills, including typing, use of MS Office packages in particular Excel, and business systems such as LIMS (non-essential).
- Good standard of written and spoken English.
- Good standard of numeracy skills.
- Hard working self-motivated and professional team player
- Flexible and ability to work well under pressure
- Excellent attention to detail
- Ability to multi-task, prioritize, organise and co-ordinate your own workload
