Extreme Balconies is a market leader in the design, manufacture, and installation of balcony systems. We take pride in our precision engineering, high-quality workmanship, and reliable delivery. We are now seeking an experienced Welder to join our production team.
Role Overview
We are looking for a skilled welder with proven experience in MIG welding and, ideally, additional welding processes. The successful candidate will be able to produce high-quality welds from fabrication drawings, contributing to the production of structural steel and aluminium balcony systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out high-quality MIG welding (MMA/TIG experience an advantage)
- Read and work from fabrication drawings to produce accurate assemblies
- Prepare, align, and weld steel components to specification
- Inspect and verify weld quality in line with company standards
- Operate workshop tools and equipment safely and effectively
- Maintain a clean and organised work area
- Collaborate with the fabrication team to meet production targets
- Follow health and safety regulations and company policies at all times
Skills & Experience Required
- Proven welding experience, preferably in a structural steel or fabrication workshop environment
- Strong MIG welding skills (MMA/TIG an advantage)
- Ability to read and understand fabrication drawings
- High attention to detail and commitment to producing quality work
- Manual Handling and relevant certifications are an advantage — training can be provided
- Good communication skills and a team-oriented attitude
- Valid driving licence an advantage
Schedule
- Monday–Thursday: 08:00–17:00
- Friday: 08:00–16:30
