Bar and Restaurant Operations
- Ensuring that the bar & restaurant department runs smoothly while on duty.
- Acknowledging and welcoming all guests to Lock Four Restaurant and The Lounge.
- Striving for customer satisfaction at all times while on duty
- Preparing the roster and timesheets in the absence of the Food and Beverage Manager.
- Carrying out monthly beverage stocktakes in the absence of the Food and Beverage Manager.
- Inputting beverage & crockery orders in the absence of the Food and Beverage Manager.
- Communicating effectively with the bar & restaurant team and all other departments in relation to operational issues
- Ensuring bar and restaurant presentation standards are consistently achieved
- Following all cash handling procedures
- Using Micros to ensure that guests are billed correctly and to take payments
- Taking food and beverage orders, serving food and beverages to guests, and clearing and resetting tables
- Communicating relevant information with colleagues and other departments in a professional manner
Customer Service
- Providing an efficient and friendly service to guests at all times
- Following the Mespil Hotel key standards at all times
- To handle any guest requests as required
- Maintaining a positive, friendly attitude with both hotel guests and your colleagues
- Handling customer complaints and issues in a professional manner and in accordance with hotel procedure
People Management
- Leading and supervising the bar and restaurant team while on duty and leading by example
- Ensuring that continuous training is scheduled and carried out and signed off with all members of the bar & restaurant team
- Dealing with staff issues and complaints in conjunction with the Food and Beverage Manager and HR Manager as required
Health and Safety
- Abiding by the hotels health, safety and environmental procedures
- Reporting any health, safety or environmental hazards within the hotel
- Reporting any accidents, incidents and near misses that arise while on duty
- Ensuring all members of the bar & restaurant team adhere to health, safety and environmental procedures and practices
Presentation and Grooming
- Wearing the correct uniform and name badge at all times while on duty
- Ensuring a high standard of personal hygiene and grooming at all times
Other Duties
- Attending any relevant training courses as required
- Serving on hotel committees as required
- Carrying out any other duties as directed by the Management
- Assisting when necessary in other departments

Qualifications and Skills:
- Minimum of 1 year experience in a supervisory role within the hospitality industry.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to handle complaints and resolve issues professionally.
- Knowledge of health, safety, and environmental regulations.
- Proficiency in using point-of-sale systems like Micros.
- High standards of personal presentation and grooming.
Working Conditions:
- This role requires flexibility in working hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
