Fleet Plan Hire Ltd is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Billing / Credit Control Specialist to lead our billing operations and credit control functions. This is a pivotal role within our finance team, ensuring timely and accurate invoicing, efficient collection of outstanding debts, and strong cash flow management.
You will be responsible for billing and credit control , implementing best practices, and working closely with internal departments and external clients to resolve issues and improve financial processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage the end-to-end billing and credit control processes
- Ensure timely and accurate generation of invoices in line with client contracts and company policies
- Monitor outstanding balances and proactively manage the collection of overdue payments
- Build strong relationships with clients to facilitate payment and resolve queries
- Prepare regular reports on aged debt, billing performance, and cash collection forecasts
- Work closely with the finance and sales teams to resolve billing discrepancies and disputes
- Develop and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and reduce debtor days
- Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and internal controls
Key Requirements:
- Proven experience in a similar Billing /Credit Control role
- Business or similar Graduate
- Strong understanding of billing systems, credit control processes, and financial reporting
- Excellent leadership and team management skills
- Exceptional attention to detail and organisational abilities
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to deal confidently with clients and internal stakeholders
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel
