Job duties/ The Role: Reporting to the CEO and working closely with the Executive Management Team, the Director of Fundraising & Communications plays a pivotal role in achieving the Fundraising & Communication objectives from the Dublin Simon Community Rolling Strategic Plan.
The Director of Fundraising & Communications will lead, develop and direct the Fundraising, Marketing and Communications brief for the organisation.
The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and delivering fundraising, marketing and communications strategies and business plans to support overall organisational development and revenue objectives.
Performance will be reviewed against; agreed objectives and scorecard delivery, the willingness/ability to respond to change and leading through the values of the organisation.
Skills & Qualifications/ The Person: The ideal candidate will be a visionary leader with a blend of dynamic, forward-thinking strategic planning expertise and a strong track record of delivering transformative programmes. Outstanding communication, interpersonal, and leadership capabilities will be essential to inspire teams and drive meaningful results and income targets.
This role requires a collaborative approach, with the ability to build and sustain strategic partnerships, demonstrating resilience, tenacity, and a deep commitment to organisational growth and continuous improvement. The individual will be credible and respected by the Board, Executive Management Team and key stakeholders.
Significant experience in leading and developing Fundraising, Marketing, and Communications functions within the not-for-profit or related sectors is essential. The role encompasses both strategic oversight and operational delivery, requiring experience in leading at a senior level and in developing high-performing teams and operations that enhance stakeholder engagement and organisational value.
The position includes responsibility for providing comprehensive strategic, operational, and developmental support to the CEO and Board.
