URGENT POSITIONS REQUIRED
We are currently recruiting a Duty Manager to oversee the day to day operations in this busy 3* Hotel. The ideal candidate will need to have a strong Food and Beverage background and a good knowledge of conference and banqueting is desirable.
The Duty Manager’s key purpose is to ensure that guests in all areas of the hotel are receiving highest levels of service and safety at all times. The Duty Manager supports all departments, ensuring business is running smoothly at all times. This role requires a flexible dedicated individual that is willing to work five out of seven days each week with shifts and hours that vary in line with the business. The role involves
- Managing the day to day business of the hotel as the Manager on Duty
- To run the daily conference and banqueting operational department.
- To ensure correct setup of meeting rooms in line with requirements
- To meet all conference organiser and ensure that everything is running smoothly.
- To prepare and check bills
- Assisting in the running of the hotel departments when required.
- Maximise all sales opportunities over the phone and on public areas of the hotel.
- To train new staff and existing staff where required.
- To maintain all health and safety records in accordance with hotel procedures and legislation.
- Ensure that all areas of the hotel are kept in a safe, clean and orderly manner

The ideal applicant will have
- Previously worked in a hotel in a supervisory capacity.
- Have an educational back ground in Hotel Management
- Be ambitious & willing to learn
- Be able to manage people and organise daily operations
- Have fluent oral and written English
- Have good technical & IT skills
- Background knowledge of Hotsoft & Volante would be a particular advantage
