We currently have a vacancy for a Fixed Assets Analyst within our CFS FA COE team.
The successful candidate will join the Shared Services Centre based in Cherrywood Business Park, Loughlinstown, Co Dublin.
Job Description
This is an exciting opportunity to join our CFS FA COE Team to look after Fixed Assets.
The Fixed Asset Analyst will be a key member of the Fixed Asset CoE team, responsible for managing and maintaining the integrity of the fixed asset register across multiple entities. This role supports accurate financial reporting, compliance with accounting standards, and efficient asset lifecycle management. The analyst will collaborate with finance, operations, and IT teams to ensure timely capitalization, depreciation, disposals, and reporting of fixed assets.
Responsible for delivery of the fixed asset accounting processes and activities of the shared services organization including individual, service and outsource activities
The Main Responsibilities include:
Maintain and reconcile the fixed asset register across multiple legal entities.
Ensure timely and accurate capitalization of assets in accordance with IFRS/local GAAP.
Review and approve asset additions, transfers, impairments, and disposals.
Review monthly depreciation runs and ensure alignment with accounting policies.
Perform variance analyses and reconciliations, as required.
Monitor and correct complex data and information errors
Support internal and external audits by preparing schedules and documentation.
Assist in the implementation and continuous improvement of fixed asset processes and controls.
Collaborate with project teams to track capital expenditure and ensure proper asset tagging.
Prepare and analyse fixed asset reports for management and finance teams.
Support system upgrades and automation initiatives related to fixed asset accounting.
Ensure compliance with SOX/internal control requirements where applicable.
Coach/ support fellow team members (internal Abbott and outsource) to handle complex issues/ exceptions
Key Requirements
BS degree in Accounting or Finance preferred
Part qualified Accountant/ Qualified Accounting Technician desirable
Fixed Asset or similar experience desirable – preferably with Shared Service Centre or multinational corporation background
2+ years of experience in fixed asset accounting
Experience working in a shared services or CoE environment is a plus.
Strong understanding of IFRS and/or local GAAP related to fixed assets.
Previous SAP experience is desirable
Strong written and verbal communication skills are essential
Hands-on and self-starter mentality
Strong excel and data analytic skills - Power BI would be an advantage.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
