Role title
Health & Safety Administrator
Your role
As a Health and Safety Administrator, you will support the day-to- day administration of the Occupational Health and Safety Department in the on-going development and delivery of a range of health and safety support services designed to protect our valued workforce and increase our Safety Culture, through continual improvement, while also promoting a culture of health and safety compliance. Our Health and Safety Department helps us drive Aer Lingus' ambition by maintaining a safe, healthy and sustainable working environment for our staff. Reporting to the Occupational Safety Manager, the successful candidate will work closely with the health and safety team and business areas.
Your responsibilities as a Health and Safety Administrator will include:
- Management of the Health and Safety email account, referrals and general queries that are sent, redirecting queries to members of the health and safety team as required.
- Management of the end-to-end process for receiving, processing and tracking injury/incident reports & follow up actions as required with business areas.
- Day-to-day admin support to the Occupational Safety Manager and Health and Safety Specialists.
- Monitoring Reportable lost time injuries to the HSA.
- Inputting of health and safety risk assessments into the Aer Lingus Risk assessment software programme.
- Scheduling & Completing Display Screen equipment assessments & Pregnancy Risk Assessments, where required.
- Compiling Weekly/Monthly health and safety reports.
- Scheduling & Co-Ordinating Health & Safety Training.
- Ensuring data accuracy across multiple platforms.
- Maintaining health and safety training records on the learning management system.
- Liaising with operational departments to ensure timely resolution of health & safety queries.
- Supporting project related health and safety administration.
- Tracking of team actions, ensuring regular prompts and close out of activities within action timelines.
- Maintaining digital & Physical health & safety filing systems.
- Liaising with health & safety service providers & suppliers.
Your qualifications and key criteria
To be considered for the role of Health & Safety Administrator, candidates must meet the following criteria:
- Minimum 2 years experience in an administrative role.
- Understanding of Health & Safety Laws and Regulations.
- Proficient in the use MS Word/Excel/PowerPoint/Outlook.
- Highly organised individual with the ability to work on own initiative.
- Attention to detail and problem-solving.
- Strong Communication & interpersonal skills.
- Experience in a fast- paced working environment.
- Ability to adapt to a fast paced, hands on environment.
- Fluent in English, both written and spoken.
- Eligible to live and work in the EU.
- Able to pass a strict airport security vetting procedure which includes a 5 Year Background check* (or be based in possession of a current airside pass for the airport as this position is based in Dublin).
