We are seeking a detail-oriented and organised Medical Secretary to join our healthcare team. Duties
- Manage patient appointments, including scheduling, rescheduling, and confirming visits.
- Maintain accurate patient records and ensure confidentiality in compliance with relevant regulations.
- Answer phone calls and respond to inquiries from patients, providing information about services and procedures.
- Assist with billing and insurance claims processing, ensuring accuracy in documentation.
- Coordinate communication between physicians, patients, and other medical staff to ensure seamless operations.
- Prepare and organise medical documents, reports, and correspondence as required.
- Maintain the cleanliness and organisation of the office environment to provide a welcoming atmosphere for patients.
Experience
- Previous office experience is essential, preferably within a medical or healthcare setting.
- Administrative experience is highly desirable, showcasing skills in managing office tasks efficiently.
- Familiarity with medical terminology and healthcare procedures will be an advantage.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, are necessary for effective interaction with patients and staff.
- Proficiency in using office software applications (e.g., word processing, spreadsheets) is required to perform daily tasks effectively.
