Joseph T. Mullen & Co, a growing and reputable accountancy/audit firm based in Clara, Co. Offaly, is currently seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Office/Accounts Assistant to join our team on a part-time basis.
About the Role:
This is a varied role supporting both administrative and accounting functions within our busy office. The successful candidate will play a key part in the day-to-day operations of the firm, contributing to a friendly and professional working environment.
Key Responsibilities:
  • General office administration and reception duties
  • Assisting with bookkeeping and data entry
  • Bank reconciliations and maintaining accurate financial and accounting records
  • Liaising with clients, responding to queries professionally and promptly
  • Supporting the team with any ad-hoc tasks as needed
Requirements:
  • Previous experience in a similar office or accounts role
  • Familiarity with accounting software (e.g., Sage, Xero, or similar) is an advantage but not necessary
  • Strong organisational and time management skills
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office is essential (Word, Excel, Outlook)
