Main purpose of the role:
Merchandise, rotate and face off all stock in assigned department while maintaining hygiene and food standards. The succesful candidate must be flexible to work weekdays, weekends and evenings.
The ideal candidate will have/be:

Main duties:
- At checkout ensure all transactions are dealt with in a speedy and efficient manner;
- Actively manage queues;
- When on the tills, ensure all till procedures are followed correctly;
- Report any scanning issues at the checkouts to the Store Manager;
- Keep up-to-date with the offers, promotion and product ranges in Store;
- Offer advice, information and make personal recommendations to customers where relevant;
- When on the checkout, offer a receipt at the end of each transaction;
- Show a positive attitude and take responsibility for ensuring customers receive an excellent shopping experience;
- Deal with all customer queries and complaints politely, professionally and consistent with store policy;
- Work towards achieving Service Excellence in the mystery shop reports;
- Actively live SuperValu brand-values i.e. Genuine, Passion for Food, Vibrant, Committed, Innovative and Imaginative;
- Process orders for various departments;
- Merchandise and present the entire store to the highest standard at all times;
- Liaise with the Store Manager on changes to layouts, ends and sides and ensure changes are correctly implemented;
- Implement correct labelling and stock rotation procedures;
- Ensure deliveries are checked off in line with goods inwards procedures.
- Keep the back-store tidy and packed away.
