The Red Hat Procurement team is looking for a Strategic Sourcing Manager to support the Corporate Services & IT categories in the Europe, the Middle East, & Africa (EMEA) region and join our growing team in Ireland. In this role, you will engage Red Hat’s stakeholders, set procurement strategies, lead strategic sourcing initiatives, negotiate contracts, and manage strategic supplier relationships related to purchases for EMEA. Your success will be measured against business metrics including savings, spend with preferred suppliers, stakeholder satisfaction, contract management and supplier management.
What will you do?
Create and implement regional procurement strategies for the Corporate Services & IT categories that are innovative and cost effective and incorporate the growing complexities and challenges across Red Hat’s operating expenses for EMEA
Partner with key Corporate Services & IT stakeholders and budget owners on appropriate spending strategies and guide strategic sourcing initiatives
Select supplier sources by driving competitive sourcing activities
Manage all activities related to sourcing, supplier evaluation, and business awards
Implement robust contracts with selected suppliers and negotiate optimal terms and conditions
Build strategic relationships and manage supplier performance for key suppliers via stakeholder feedback and performance-based metrics
Lead transformational activities to build procurement organisational capabilities and improve procurement efficiency
What will you bring?
5+ years of strategic procurement experience ideally within Corporate Services & IT categories
Broad understanding of Corporate Services & IT supplier landscape within EMEA
Excellent communication, time management, and interpersonal skills
Experience developing and leading strategic sourcing initiatives for the indirect Corporate Services & IT spend categories
Strong analytical skills demonstrated in performing bid analysis, cost analysis, fair-value analysis, and scenario modeling
Complex problem-solving skills with the ability to develop and implement creative solutions;
Strong experience with contract negotiations
Experience building relationships with a diverse set of stakeholders and suppliers
Demonstrated persuasion skills and the ability to gain agreement among a wide range of stakeholders
Experience leading multi-disciplined projects with minimal amount of supervision
Solid understanding of potential InfoSec, Data Privacy, and Legal requirements from a contractual and policy perspective
Customer service-oriented with the ability to work as part of a team
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English; additional language skills are a plus
Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, supply chain, or a related field
