The Ardilaun Hotel, a long-established 4-star family-owned hotel in Galway, is seeking a dedicated and experienced Accommodation Manager to lead our housekeeping department.
This is a key leadership role responsible for maintaining high standards of cleanliness, presentation, and guest satisfaction across all bedrooms and public areas of the hotel. The ideal candidate will be highly organized, team-oriented, and committed to delivering a consistently high standard of comfort and hospitality for our guests.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the daily operations of the Accommodation Department, including bedrooms and public areas
- Manage and support a team of accommodation assistants and supervisors
- Prepare rosters and manage department scheduling
- Maintain consistently high standards of cleanliness and presentation throughout the hotel
- Liaise with maintenance and front office to ensure efficient room turnaround and guest satisfaction
- Train new and existing staff to ensure adherence to hotel standards
- Manage stock control of linen, cleaning supplies, and guest amenities
- Ensure health & safety procedures are followed at all times
- Monitor and improve guest feedback related to accommodation and housekeeping
Requirements:
- Previous experience in a similar supervisory or management role within a hotel accommodation department
- Strong organisational and time management skills
- Excellent attention to detail and a hands-on approach
- Proven ability to lead and motivate a team
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, guest-focused environment
- Knowledge of health & safety and hygiene standards
