We at the Ellison have an exciting opportunity to join our finance department as an accounts assistant. In this role you will be responsible for recording and processing invoices and providing reports to the Finance Team.
Objectives of the Role
To act as a support to the accounts team in order to ensure that all financial data is reported both accurately and in a timely manner.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Use Pure Wizard and Sage Line 50 to consolidate daily/monthly information for the preparation of Management Accounts.
- To prepare all relevant information for the stock taker.
- Daily Reconciliation of cash, credit cards and lodgements.
- Weekly float count.
- Deal with daily petty cash, log and reconcile.
- Mail out customer invoices and statements on a monthly basis.
- Work with customers to clarify any query's on their bills in a professional and helpful manner.
- Contact any overdue accounts to ensure payment due is remitted.
- Reconcile supplier statements.
- Prepare monthly payment run.
- Enter supplier invoices to sage.
- Take ownership of ensuring all audit and SOP guidelines and policies are adhered to.
Qualifications, Knowledge and Experience
- Relevant Accounting Technician Qualification or equivalent.
- Ability to work effectively both on your own and within a team.
- Be able to demonstrate excellent attention to detail, good judgement showing logical decision making and have a hands-on approach.
- A person with the confidence to develop and implement initiatives, problem solve, and deliver effective solutions.
- Highly IT literate with a strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills are essential to succeed in this role.
- Minimum 2 years Accounts Administration experience.
- Sage Line 50 knowledge is desirable but not essential.
