Accounts Assistant
We are seeking a confident, experienced accounts assistant. This is a hands on role suited to someone with prior experience in a fast paced environment who thrives on accuracy, teamwork and delivering to deadlines.
Key Responsibilities:
- Accounts payable - review and input supplier invoices
- Prepare monthly supplier reconciliations
- Assist in preparing monthly payment runs
- Bank reconciliations – perform weekly/monthly bank reconciliations
- Accounts receivable – assist in monthly revenue reconciliations
- VAT Returns - ensure the timely and accurate preparation of VAT returns
- Intrastat & VIES reporting
- Accruals & Prepayments – assist in preparing monthly journals
- Fixed assets - assist in maintaining fixed asset register
- Provide assistance with month-end financial close – prepare journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations
- Controls – ensure strong internal controls environment is maintained
- Perform any other duties as required to support the business
Requirements:
- Proven experience (3+ years) as financial assistant or similar role
- Proficiency in accounting software and MS Excel
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Excellent numerical skills with attention to detail
- Strong organizational and time management skills
