Our New Afterschool Service in Ballincollig is looking for kind, enthusiastic, and dedicated individuals who love working with children.
Our new service has an opening for an afterschool Manager as well as an assistant to join our team
The Manager Role:
- Managing the daily operations of our after-school program
- Supporting and guiding a team of staff, making sure they feel well-trained and confident in their roles.
- Helping to create fun, creative, and educational activities that meet the needs of the children.
- Ensuring that all safety and safeguarding guidelines are followed.
- Building positive relationships with parents, children, school staff, and local communities.
- Addressing any concerns from parents or staff in a caring and timely manner.
Desirable Qualification & Experience
- A full clean and valid driver's license.
- Previous experience in a leadership or management role, ideally in childcare or after-school programs.
- Minimum of Level 5 Childcare qualification (or similar field).
- Excellent communication skills
- A genuine passion for working with children and commitment to providing a nurturing environment.
- Fluent English speaker. Strong communication skills and a friendly, approachable leadership style.
- A good understanding of safeguarding practices and child welfare.
- Garda vetting and reference checks required for child safety.
Job Types: Part-time, Permanent
Pay: €15.00-€19.00 per hour
Expected hours: 23 – 40 per week
