We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced baker to join our team. Candidates will have a passion for traditional methods especially laminated pastries and naturally leavened sourdoughs. Candidate will be passionate and creative.
Job description
- Report to head bakers/ owners
- Laminated pastries- laminate, shape, proof & bake
- Sourdough breads- weigh ups, mix, scale, shape, proof & bake
- Prep: making fillings for pastries (pastry creams/ curds, almond creams) etc
- Following safety and hygiene standard at all times.
- HACCP compliant
Candidates requirements
- Bakery experience- working with sourdough breads and laminated pastries
- Team player and taking iniative.
- Ability to work clean and organised
- Physical role- Ability to lift 16kg+
- Flexibility - night shifts/ early hours.
- Ability to communicate effectively and take feedback
- Understanding of fermentation, lamination and bakers percentage.
- Attention to detail.
- Reliable & punctual
