The Tram Café is excited to welcome a talented, creative, and innovative Bakery Manager to lead our Bakery Team.
The Bakery Manager is responsible for overseeing all bakery operations, from staffing to menu creation & implementation. This is very much a collaborative role in that the bakery manager will be expected to conduct regular meetings with their own team, assessing products on a regular basis and also conduct regular presentations of new ideas with senior management, therefore excellent communication skills is also important.
Sales & Labour
- Spot niches in the current market and be responsible for implementing a high level of creativity within the bakery in order to maximise sales.
- Constantly monitor the menu offering across all channels, assessing what’s selling and what’s not. Be proactive in this decision making and effectively communicate this to all relevant personnel.
- Manage the labour costs effectively ensuring high productivity at all times.
Training & Staff Retention
- Train all new staff and constantly monitor the development of existing staff.
- Be able to spot training needs within the team and provide guidance and support where necessary such as refresher training or development in unskilled areas.
People Management
- Conduct regular check-ins with staff both informally and formally.
- Possess good people management skills and be able to handle issues as they arise.
Compliance with Company Procedures & Policies
- Ensure the bakery team are compliant with all company procedures and policies as outlined in the company handbook. Inform staff of new procedures and policies as they arise.
Documentation & Meeting Deadlines
- Ensure the bakery team meet deadlines and complete any documentation required on time such as contracts, company handbook, training documents etc.
- Prepare weekly rosters and monitor time keeping.
- Manage supplier orders and the intake on deliveries.
- Input and approve employee timecards on Bizimply.
Skills required:
· Strong team leadership and supervisory skills
· Bread and Pastry Production Experience
· Good verbal and written communication
· Passion for menu development and product innovation
· Ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple responsibilities
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: €35,000.00-€40,000.00 per year
