The Abbey Hotel has an exciting opportunity for a Bars Manager with experience in a fast paced bar and entertainment venue to join the Management Team at the hotel.
The ideal candidate should thrive in a dynamic fast paced environment, maintaining a courteous demeanor with customers, as well as effectively training staff. Strong leadership and personnel management skills should be accompanied by a customer service focus and commitment to company values and image.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Oversee the operations of the various bars within the Abbey Hotel
- Maintaining hotel procedures and implementing new procedures.
- Must be a dedicated team player
- Ensure quality and standards are met consistently.
- Anticipate guest needs, and proactively manage their expectations.
- Ensure prompt resolution of customer issues and complaints.
- Have full knowledge of the Bar and all Bar areas.
- Report to GM on a weekly basis.
- Act as duty manager when required
- Manage and motivate teams while on duty
- Implementation of training
- Motivate, encourage and support teams in their daily roles
- Roster
- Monitor inventory of beverage stocks
- Oversee cleanliness of physical Bars and surrounding areas
- Oversee preparation of beverages and quality of products
- Co-ordinate Bar Promotions
- Co-ordinate Entertainment
Requirements
· Must have strong attention to detail and ability to multi task.
· Experience in organising bar music & entertainment
· Previous bar experience is essential
· Possess excellent customer service skills
· Must be proficient in computer skills in particular point of sale software
· Excellent communication and organisational skills
· A good financial awareness of costing, purchasing and wage costs
· Must have strong management and interpersonal skills
· Have a passion for excellent customer service
· Have a mature and pleasant manner for dealing with customers and team members
· Have a full knowledge of Health and Safety procedures
· Strong background in managing Bar operations
· Extensive Working Knowledge of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverage

Pay: From €35,000.00 per year

- Donegal, County Donegal: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (preferred)
