Business Unit Director - EPR
RPS, a Tetra Tech company is seeking accomplished Director(s) to lead Business Unit(s) within our Environment, Planning and Renewables (EPR) Sector, to be based in one of our three main offices: Dublin, Cork or Galway.

You’ll be joining a highly respected team, recognised as the national leader delivering transformative consultancy services across Ireland. Our EPR Sector provides high-value technical advisory services in planning and permitting, environmental assessment, strategic environmental consultancy, sustainability and climate adaptation. With over 100 environmental professionals across Ireland, we support the development of sustainable infrastructure across energy, water, transport, and the built and natural environments.

Join RPS, a Tetra Tech company, to make a real difference. We are recruiting an experienced executive to lead an established and successful Business Unit. You will lead a team of world-class technical professionals, delivering our Clients’ most complex projects, while leaving a lasting legacy.
What you will be doing:
- Lead and manage a high-performing Business Unit within the EPR sector.
- Drive strategic growth through client engagement, team development and service excellence.
- Deliver strong commercial performance through the effective management of resources, risk and contracts.
- Maintain and enhance quality, compliance, and technical innovation across service delivery.
- Collaborate across Business Units and Sectors to win and deliver multidisciplinary work.
- Act as a visible and trusted leader, internally and externally, representing RPS with credibility and impact.
Who we are looking for:
- We are seeking a proven leader with a strong technical foundation, commercial acumen, and the ability to inspire. You should bring:
- National reputation in a relevant discipline.
- Strong commercial leadership, including P&L responsibility and project pipeline development.
- Demonstrated client leadership including significant experience in client relationship management and project delivery.
- Proven experience in building and leading high-performing, multidisciplinary teams.
- Experience in the technical and commercial management of projects.
- Strong inter-personal skills, with a leadership style grounded in collaboration and delivery.
- Experience navigating complex project or regulatory environments, with a focus on solutions and outcomes.
- A track record of winning large, complex bids and delivering projects within programme and budget.
Qualifications:
- Chartered professional (or equivalent) with more than 12 years’ experience, some of which will be gained in a technical consultancy / in Ireland.
- Degree qualified (Level 8) in STEM degree.
