At The Menu Cakery, just 10 minutes southwest of Cork City, we’re looking for a motivated and passionate new team member to join our journey to becoming the best cake shop in Cork.
We are seeking a Café Manager, a Head Barista, or a Manager-in-Training to help us lead and grow, with a potential exciting second location on the horizon.
We’re known for our show-stopping cakes, homemade sandwiches, exceptional coffee, and creative flair. With expansion underway, this is a fantastic time to get on board.

Available Role:
Take the lead in our operations. You'll be responsible for managing daily service, supervising staff, improving efficiencies, and helping guide the expansion to our new site.
Experience expected.
If you’re ready to grow into a leadership role, we’ll support your development with hands-on training and guidance. Some prior management experience will be expected or need to be demonstrated early.
Head Barista
Confident on the coffee machine, strong with workflow, and passionate about delivering excellent service? Join us as the lead barista with opportunity to build your skills further.
Key Responsibilities
Lead or support café operations including workflow, prep and service, as well as stock ordering and management.
Maintain the highest standards of food quality, coffee, and customer experience
Supervise staff during shifts, ensure smooth day-to-day running
Take initiative with seasonal and creative input on products and service
Support HACCP and food safety compliance
Be available for potential support at our second Cork City southside location
You’ll Need:
Experience in a café, bakery, or foodservice environment
Strong barista skills and a love for great coffee (for barista/head roles)
Previous leadership experience (for manager role) or a strong desire and ability to grow responsibilities (for manager-in-training)
HACCP training (or willingness to complete)
A positive, solutions-focused mindset and pride in your work
Ability to commute reliably to Halfway, Ballinhassig, and ideally flexible to occasionally work at our second Cork location as needed
