About Us:
Duffy Capital is a growing property investment platform that provides private investors with access to high-quality, institutional-grade property projects across Ireland. We are now seeking a Chief Investment Officer (CIO) to lead our investment strategy, drive capital raising, and build long-term relationships with investors and stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
1. Investment Strategy & Deal Sourcing
- Lead and refine Duffy Capital’s overall investment strategy in alignment with growth objectives.
- Identify, evaluate, and secure attractive real estate investment opportunities (off-market preferred).
- Build and maintain relationships with agents, brokers, and other deal sources.
- Conduct feasibility analysis, due diligence, and investment risk assessments.
2. Capital Raising & Equity Structuring
- Raise capital from private investors, family offices, and institutional partners.
- Structure deals under EIIS (Employment Investment Incentive Scheme) and other investor-friendly frameworks.
- Develop and present compelling investment memoranda, pitch decks, and financial models.
- Oversee legal and financial structuring of joint ventures and SPVs.
3. Investor Relations
- Serve as the primary point of contact for all investor communications.
- Build and manage an investor network through relationship management and continuous engagement.
- Ensure timely, transparent reporting to investors regarding project performance, project updates, and returns.
- Plan and lead investor roadshows, webinars, and events.
4. Governance & Risk Management
- Oversee compliance with all relevant financial regulations, tax laws, and investor protection frameworks.
- Work closely with legal, accounting, and compliance professionals to manage risk across all investments.
- Maintain internal controls, reporting systems, and best-practice governance.
5. Team Leadership & Internal Collaboration
- Work closely with the CEO and executive team on strategic planning and capital deployment.
- Build and lead a small investment team over time as the platform scales.
- Provide mentorship, leadership, and oversight to junior analysts or associates.
Requirements
- Minimum 8+ years’ experience in real estate investment, private equity, or venture capital.
- Proven track record in equity fundraising, preferably in the Irish or UK property markets.
- Deep knowledge of EIIS and Irish investment frameworks.
- Strong deal sourcing network with demonstrable pipeline generation.
- Excellent investor-facing skills: pitching, reporting, and long-term relationship management. Having existing investor list is a bonus
- Financial modelling, due diligence, and structuring expertise essential.
- CFA, ACCA, or similar financial qualification preferred but not required.
- Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to work independently and grow with the platform.
