We are currently seeking a highly experienced and detail-oriented Construction Surveyor to join our team in Limerick.
Responsibilities:
Accurately set out structural elements including foundations, columns, walls, slabs, and fixings based on engineering drawings and digital models
Perform topographical and boundary surveys to assist planning, design, and verification
Use advanced survey equipment, including robotic total stations, GPS/GNSS systems, digital levels, and 3D laser scanners
Interpret 2D/3D technical drawings and BIM models to extract accurate setting out coordinates
Liaise with project engineers, site managers, and subcontractors to ensure correct alignment, levels, and positioning
Maintain accurate control point logs, as-built records, and survey documentation
Resolve discrepancies between the design and site conditions proactively through coordination and on-site checks
Establish and maintain control networks and temporary benchmarks across the site
Conduct post-installation surveys to confirm that completed work matches design specifications
Candidate Profile:
Qualifications & Skills:
Degree or Diploma in Surveying, Civil Engineering, Geomatics, or related discipline
Minimum of 3–5 years’ experience in precision setting out for building or infrastructure projects
Proficient with surveying software and CAD platforms (AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Leica Captivate, Trimble Business Center, or similar)
Strong understanding of datum systems, coordinate geometry, and construction tolerances
Excellent accuracy, attention to detail, and spatial awareness
Ability to work both independently and within multidisciplinary teams on dynamic construction sites
Effective communication and reporting skills
