About the Role:
At Links Childcare the aim of each crèche is to providea home-from-home for the children in our care. At the heart of that home is the Manager. He/she is the focal point around which the dailyroutine, the play, the learning and the contentmentis built.
The Manager reports directly to the Regional Manager (RM) and theSenior Management Team, as appropriate.
She/he oversees the work of Educarers, Senior Lead Educarers, Assistant Managers and Deputy Managersin his/her crèche, directing and guiding them in daily routines, people management, training and curriculum delivery. The Manager will ensure that each centre provides the very high standards expected at Links Childcare.
At Links Childcare the Manager will display the characteristics of both leadership and management.
Responsibilities and Duties:
· As a LEADER, he/she will have the ability to empower staff, to lead change, to inspire excellence and to share vision.
· As a MANAGER, she/hewill have the ability to organise, to make good decisions, to manage change, to communicate to problem-solve and to delegate.
· Responsibility for ensuring that the crèche operates in compliance with Child Care Act 1991 (Early Years Services) Regulations 2016, Links Childcare Policies and Procedures and any other regulatory requirements.
· Ability to overseethe daily running of the crèche including, but not limited to, reviewing daily routines, staff performance and engagementwith administration duties.
· Ensure any reporting requirements are monitored, maintained and completed on time.
· Implement any necessary crèche programmes, systemsand operational processes to ensure the successful running of the crèche.
· Lead, coach and develop a highly functioning team of Educarers.
· Develop positive, warm and open professional relationships with families, children and Educarers.
· Ensure rosters & staffing of the centre are well organised
· Organise and lead regular CPD (staff meetings) with the creche team of Educarers.
· Ad-hoc duties as required by Management
Requirements:
· Experience in a crèche supervisory/ management role is a requirement
· Hold a minimum of Fetac Level 6 in Childcare certificate
· Competent computer literacy
· The successful candidate will be highly organised with an ability to work as part of a cross functional team.
· Excellent attention to detail and an ability to manage the running of a crèche and staff as well as the ability to implement quality early childhood curriculum and creative skills to develop age appropriate activeties will be of the utmost importance in this position.
· Ability to work as part of a team
· Full knowledge of TUSLA regulations and requirements
