O'Loughlin Project Engineers Limited is looking for an Electrical Project Engineer.
Working as part of a multidiscipline engineering department, this position will provide the individual with the opportunity to work on a wide range of CAPEX and OPEX projects, which require electrical or instrument design.

Qualifications:
- A level 8 minimum, electrical and/or instrument engineering qualification, with a number of years of experience in industrial electrical project execution.
- Experience in a medical devices, pharmaceutical or food process plant environment highly desirable ().
- Familiarity with ETCI, IEC & IEEE standards essential.
- Proficiency with Autocad highly desirable.
- Proficiency with MS Office products essential.
- Experience of design or maintenance of power distribution equipment up to 22kV an advantage.
- Knowledge of automation & control systems an advantage.
The Role:
- Working under a lead Electrical/Instrument Engineer, the successful candidate will liaise with project leaders, electrical/instrument engineers, DCS control engineers, operations personnel and other stakeholders to provide electrical and instrument support to CAPEX or OPEX projects.
- Conduct surveys and reports on site equipment and installations.
- Generate as built drawings (mark-up drawings) of existing installations and updating of existing documentation.
- Generate all electrical design drawings, schematics, wiring diagrams and project documentation to deliver the electrical and/or instrumentation requirements of the project.
- Specification and procurement of electrical and instrument equipment according to Client site standards.
- Generate detailed scopes of work c/w materials lists, quality plans, Design Stage Health and Safety Plans etc. to allow our in-house contractor to build the project.
- Ensure the safe, accurate, timely and cost-effective implementation of the project in the field, including punch-listing.
- Commissioning and testing of electrical and instrument installations.
- Participate in project meetings, design reviews and project risk assessments.
Main Duties & Responsibilities:
- Interact with and support the engineering department in the delivery of various capital projects.
- Management of major work packages, covering some or all project phases (from procurement, through to build and post-installation support) for successful delivery to the project sponsor, within budget and schedule constraints.
- Coordination of works throughout the project phases to ensure successful delivery.
- Budget management (including cost control and cash flow forecasting) associated with the project.
- Provision of accurate reporting of progress against quality, performance, time and cost constraints.
- Ensure all works are performed in compliance with company standards, national and international standards and regulations.
- Preparation of URS, FDS, DQ, IQ, OQ documents.
- Prepare design packs for electrical installations.
- Prepare equipment specifications for material requisitions.
- Prepare SOW for contractor works.
- Prepare test packs for all systems including electrical/LSS/I&C/Telecoms.
- Review all technical documentation from vendors and contractors.
- Manage and coordinate contractor permitting.
- Field supervision of contractors.
- Validation of projects.
- Snagging of installations.
- Prepare O&Ms for all systems.
Essential Requirements:
- 4 years' Electrical Engineering experience in a project engineering role.
- Strong technical background.
- Excellent verbal and written communication.
- Experience in heavy industry (oil / gas / cement production etc.)
- Current EU work permit
