Role:
The AA is embarking on an exciting growth and transformation phase and is seeking to recruit a Fleet Manager to support the Technical Services, Fleet & Supply Chain Team in providing best in class customer service to our clients.
This role will form part of the dynamic Technical Services Fleet & Supply Chain Team and will report to the Head Technical Services, Fleet & Supply Chain.
The successful candidate will be a highly driven, adaptable and confident people person who can thrive in a rapidly changing organisation and will adopt a hands-on approach to their role. We are seeking a high calibre and talented professional with a positive mindset and that is willing to learn.
Work location: The role will be based in the ROC (Rescue Operations Centre) office however will be fully eligible for the AA hybrid working policy.
Key Responsibilities:
The primary responsibilities and focus areas for this role will include the following:
- Oversee the acquisition, maintenance, and disposal of fleet vehicles to ensure optimal performance and cost efficiency.
- Schedule and coordinate regular maintenance for all vehicles to enhance safety and reduce breakdowns and costs.
- Maintain up-to-date registration, insurance, and licensing.
- Address urgent or emergency repairs promptly to minimize business disruptions.
The Candidate should have the following:
Minimum qualifications, experience & skills
- Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Transportation, Business Administration, or a related field.
- A minimum of 3 years recent experience in Transport Supervisory/Transport Management.
- Extensive knowledge of the Transport or Vehicle service industry
- Technical knowledge on cars/vans is required is a plus
