General Operative
We are currently seeking a reliable and hardworking General Operative to join our team at a busy peat processing plant in Ratoath Co. Meath. The successful candidate will be responsible for a range of tasks to support daily operations, including yard work, peat bagging, and equipment cleaning.
Key Responsibilities
Perform general yard duties including loading/unloading, organizing materials, and maintaining a tidy workspace.
Operate bagging machinery and manually bag peat as required.
Power wash plant equipment, machinery, and vehicles to maintain hygiene and safety standards.
Assist in general maintenance and cleaning of the plant. Follow all health and safety procedures and wear appropriate PPE at all times.
Work effectively as part of a team and take direction from supervisors.
Carry out other duties as required to support smooth operation of the plant.
Requirements
Previous experience in a similar role or industrial environment is desirable but not essential.
Good level of physical fitness; the role involves manual handling and working outdoors.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Punctual, dependable, and safety conscious.
Willingness to learn and take on new tasks.
