We are looking for a hard-working Hygiene Operative to join our team at our Happy Pear production facility in Kilcoole, Co. Wicklow. This is a great opportunity for someone who would like to get hands-on experience working within a busy production environment with an enthusiasm to develop new knowledge and skills.
The successful candidate will possess the ability to work well alone, with good use of their initiative in addition to working well as part of a team.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assisting in all aspects of cleaning including, touch point cleaning, production and warehouse areas.
- Carrying out deep cleaning and detailed cleaning tasks.
- Notifying management of deficiencies or repairs when required.
- Using cleaning materials appropriately and as required.
- Stock monitoring of cleaning materials.
- Cleaning, re-stocking and supplying designated facility areas.
- Filling in and signing off cleaning schedules and paperwork.
- Assist the quality team by carrying out titration checks on chemicals and maintaining the MSDS folder.
- Maintaining a high standard of cleanliness at all times.
- Familiarity with and adherence to all company policy and procedures.
- Participating in the Health and Safety practices of the company, including reporting of any dangers, near misses or hazards to management.
- Responding positively, politely, and promptly to all requirements and carrying out duties in a professional and courteous manner.
- Ad-hoc hygiene and housekeeping duties.
- Covering other hygiene staff members if/when needed.
Essential Criteria:
- Must have at least 6 months previous cleaning experience.
- Fluency in both written and oral English with strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- High level of attention-to-detail and organisational abilities.
- Able to deliver quality work and clean to a 5* standard every time
- Ability to work under strict guidelines i.e., BRC Food Safety and Government Food Safety Standards.
- Punctual, reliable, and hard working.
- Positive, approachable, and friendly demeanour.
- Adaptability to change and willingness to embrace new ideas and processes.
Desirable:
- A passion for healthy eating and living.
- Previous experience working within a food production facility.
- This position will require the right candidate to work Mon-Fri 7pm to 10pm.
