The Role:
Join our team at Zest Leisure & Fitness, located within The Killeshin Hotel. We are seeking a Part-Time Leisure Assistant to provide exceptional service and support to our valued guests. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work in a thriving leisure and fitness environment. The right person for the role must be able be available to work mid-week and at the weekends.
Reporting to:
You will report directly to the Leisure Manager, who will provide guidance and support to ensure your success in this role.
The Person:
We are looking for an enthusiastic and customer-focused individual with a passion for health and fitness. The ideal candidate will be a team player, possess excellent communication skills, and be dedicated to creating a positive experience for our guests.

Key Responsibilities include:
- Assisting guests with fitness equipment and ensuring their safety.
- To deliver swimming lessons of all ages and abilities.
- To plan swimming lessons using the Zest Leisure Club swimming and assessment guide.
- Conduct fitness assessments and assisting in the development of exercise programmes.
- Overseeing the cleanliness and maintenance of the fitness centre.
- Providing exceptional customer service and assisting guests with enquiries.
- Working with the team to organise fitness classes and activities.
- Ensuring the safety and well-being of all guests within the leisure facility.
The Ideal Candidate:
- The ideal candidate for this role will possess the following qualifications and attributes:
- Previous experience in a similar role is advantageous but not essential.
- A passion for health, fitness, and wellness.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- A friendly and approachable demeanor.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).
- Knowledge of fitness equipment and basic exercise principles is a plus.

Qualifications/Requirements
- Swimming instructor qualification
- Lifeguard qualification would be an advantage.
- First Aid
- Experience in teaching swimming lessons would be an advantage
