Our client is seeking a suitably qualified Consultant Psychiatrist in Child & Adolescent MHS for a 3 month vacancy
Key Responsibilities
Provide direct psychiatric assessment and treatment to children and adolescents with complex mental health needs.
Lead the multidisciplinary CAMHS team, ensuring high standards of clinical care.
Develop and implement care plans in collaboration with service users, families, and team members.
Act as Clinical Lead within the team, contributing to service development and quality improvement initiatives.
Provide clinical supervision to junior medical staff (e.g., NCHDs, registrars).
Engage in liaison and joint working with primary care, schools, social services, Tusla, and other relevant agencies.
Participate in clinical audit, research, and continuing professional development.
Essential Requirements
Registration (or eligibility for registration) on the Specialist Division of the Irish Medical Council in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry.
Extensive post-registration experience in child and adolescent psychiatry.
Strong team-working and leadership capabilities within a multidisciplinary setting.
In-depth knowledge of the Mental Health Act 2001, Children First, and other relevant legislation and guidelines.
