Objective of Role:
To ensure that the Hotel and Grounds are maintained to a high standard and to ensure safe working practices at all times within the hotel, in particular the upkeep of electrics in the hotel
Responsibilities of the Role:
- The ability to install, renew or replace any electrical circuit including pyro, FP200 and conduit systems.
- The ability to fault find and repair motor control circuits and motor equipment.
- The ability to fault find and repair single phase and three phase circuits in general.
- The ability to fault find Fire detection networks, hardware, software (including fire panel basic programming, sprinkler system electrical components)
- The ability to fault find and repair electrical food service equipment.
- The ability to revamp all areas of the hotel.
- The ability to fault find and repair telephone and data networks.
- The ability to install basic temporary telephone and data networks for special guest requirements.
- The ability to fault find and repair building management system (BMS) networks and to be able to manipulate and update outstation software.
- The ability to fault find and repair MATV systems and install and satellite channels with the appropriate equipment.
- The ability to participate in the on-call programme and to respond both by phone and in person as appropriate
- The ability to provide electrical set-ups for exhibits and conventions including maintaining electrical equipment for exhibits.
- The ability to adjust, and clean televisions.
- The ability to respond to all guest complaints regarding the maintenance of their room or public area in a timely manner.
- The ability to assist on all plumbing stoppages in the building.
- The ability to repair an assortment of items brought to the shop by other departments.
- The ability to assemble desks, shelving, cabinets, etc. as assigned.
- The ability to assist guests with special requests such as opening luggage ability to maintain logs for all work performed while on duty.
- The ability to take meter readings, record temperatures and pressures in heating and cooling plant.
- The ability to check all mechanical rooms.
- The ability to respond to work orders or room inspection reports submitted by Department Heads.
- The ability to conduct oneself in a professional manner at all times to reflect the high standards of Hilton Dublin
- The ability to handle and report any accident immediately, no matter how minor.
- The ability to report all potential hazards.
- The ability to respond properly in any hotel emergency or safety situation.
- The ability to perform other tasks or projects as assigned by hotel management and staff.
- The ability to clean all stations in Engineering and maintain a neat and organized department
- The ability to adhere to all Health and Safety Regulations
Requirements:
- Safe pass certification is desirable
- Experience with electrical work is required
- Must have the ability to multi-task in fast-paced environment
- be eligible to work on a full time basis
