Reports To: Merchandise Manager / Venue Manager
Job Summary:
The Merchandising Staff Member plays a vital role in the success in presentation of venue merchandise. This position is responsible for creating an inviting merchandise area, ensuring accurate inventory management, and delivering outstanding customer service to event attendees.
Key Responsibilities:
- Count and verify merchandise inventory before and after each event.
- Set up and break down merchandise displays in an organized and visually appealing manner.
- Process cashless and/or cash transactions efficiently and accurately.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked sales area throughout the event.
- Provide friendly and knowledgeable customer service to fans and guests.
- Communicate any stock discrepancies, low inventory, or customer feedback to the Merchandise Manager.
- Ensure all merchandise is handled with care and security protocols are followed.
- Support other event staff and venue team members as needed.
Qualifications:
- Prior experience in retail, customer service, or merchandising preferred but not required.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail and basic math skills for handling inventory and transactions.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-energy environment.
- Must be reliable, punctual, and professional.
- Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as required by event schedules.
Work Environment:
This role takes place in a live event setting, which may include loud music, large crowds, and varied lighting. Staff must be comfortable working in a dynamic, sometimes high-pressure environment.
