SCOPE & GENERAL PURPOSE OF JOB:
To ensure that the customers are offered the highest quality standards in service and care, anticipating their needs and being attentive at all times.
ACCOUNTABILITIES:
1. Working with the Departmental Managers to ensure that standards of performance within all departments are adhered to, ensuring all services offered are of the highest quality and all employees are trained in the delivery of same
2. To allocate all duties to the Night Porters to the standards set - including Conference & Banqueting, Bar and Front Office departments.
3. To supervise all staff on duty, deputizing when HOD's are off duty and taking responsibility for service in all departments
4. To follow the Night Manager checklist and ensure all work is completed to the standard required and implemented and maintain new procedures as approved by the Front Office Manager.
5. To work with the Night Porters in offering the guest the highest level of customer service on late check-in and early check-out.
6. To maintain vigilance and work in maintaining security at all times.
7. To offer the highest level of Guest Care at all times.
8. To ensure that you have an in-depth knowledge of your departmental product, in addition to being aware of the total hotel facilities.
9. To work as part of the Team, being aware of colleagues and their needs, and being flexible at all times.
10. To promote sales within the department and across the hotel
11. To have pride and commitment in your area of work.
12. To attend training sessions as required.
13. To attend appraisal / assess as required.
14. To attend Hotel and Departmental Meetings as required, ensuring effective communication at all levels.
15. To maintain all company policies and procedures.
16. To ensure that all hygiene regulations are adhered to at all times.
17. To comply with statutory and legal requirements for Health & Safety, Fire, Hygiene, Licensing and Employment.
