The Role:
An exciting opportunity has arisen for the position of a Shift Maintenance Electrician with mechanical skills within our Ashbourne plant.
Duties and Responsibilities:
The successful candidate will hold a key role within the Maintenance team. Their purpose is to work flexibly within the team to minimise machine downtime through effective Preventative, Predictive and Reactive Maintenance.
The person will also be required to support installations of new equipment and work with OEM’s & Contractors as & when needed.
The breakdown of nightshift hours are:
· Monday to Thursday 11pm – 7am
· Friday 7pm - 1am
Essential Skills and Experience:
- High degree of safety training and awareness
- 17th Edition certified/qualified
- Computer literacy skills
- Experience in a manufacturing facility with minimum electrical qualifications to FETAC Level, City & Guilds or Equivalent
- Ability to problem solve electrical problems in a structured manner under pressure using electrical drawings & interrogation tools
- Ability to interrogate PLC Programs for Fault-Finding and re-programming for operational improvement
- Ability to program and set-up modern AC / DC Drives
- Ability to carry out basic mechanical repairs as required
- Ability to work shifts including Nights and weekends as required
- Familiar with Preventative Maintenance schedules and the use of Planned and Preventative Maintenance software (CMMS Systems)
- Ability to work alone (following a job plan) with limited supervision
- Work with & Lead Contractors & OEM’s as required
Desirable Skills and Experience:
- Minimum Qualification of the ECDL Standard on Computers & use of the internet
- Leadership skills
