We’re seeking an Online Commercial Executive to join our marketing team. Reporting to the Head of Digital, this pivotal role ensures customers enjoy a seamless, relevant, and engaging experience when researching and booking their next holiday online. You’ll manage the day-to-day upkeep and merchandising of our product portfolio, execute campaign setups and changeovers, and ensure every click along the journey feels effortless. With a keen eye for detail, you’ll spot and resolve website issues with the support of our development agency, craft landing pages that influence customer behaviour, using a data first approach to make changes that boost bookings and CVR.
The Role:
- Own the daily upkeep and merchandising of our websites, ensuring products are well-presented, accurate, and aligned with commercial priorities.
- Execute online campaign setup and changeovers, including creating landing pages, updating banners, managing tactical promotions, product listings and mapping the customer journey through to booking.
- Monitor and optimise the end-to-end customer journey, ensuring messaging, pricing, and navigation are consistent and conversion friendly.
- Support the website development roadmap by identifying feature enhancements, bugs, and optimisation opportunities, while liaising with development agency for implementation.
- Participate in testing, QA, and content checks ahead of new releases.
- Use tools such as Microsoft Clarity and Google Analytics to analyse user behaviour, spot opportunities for A/B testing, help rectify blockers, and recommend improvements to increase conversion.
- Collaborate with marketing colleagues to deliver integrated, on-brand campaigns.
- Carry out regular competitor reviews to identify trends, new features, and best-practice merchandising approaches.
- Share creative feedback on imagery, copy, and design to ensure the site is visually engaging and commercially effective.
- Active member of the marketing team, assisting other channels when required.
Personal Attributes and Skills:
- Meticulous attention to detail and a genuine passion for optimising the online booking experience.
- Experience working with a content management system (Strapi experience a plus).
- Strong understanding of online merchandising principles and how they influence customer journeys.
- Comfortable interpreting user behaviour data and applying insights to improve performance.
- Familiar with CRO best practice and online campaign lifecycles.
- Organised, proactive, and confident managing multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficient with Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Familiarity with analytics tools (Microsoft Clarity, Google Analytics 4) and creative tools (Canva, paint.net).
- Basic knowledge of HTML and CSS is an advantage.
- A qualification in Marketing, Digital Marketing, or similar is preferred but not essential.
- A strong interest in travel & tourism is highly desirable.
