We are seeking a Plant & Equipment (P&E) Coordinator to join our team in Waterford. Reporting to the EHS Director and working alongside the P&E Administrator, this role is critical in managing our P&E operations across various projects and ensuring the highest standards of compliance, safety, and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities and Duties:
Oversee the daily operation, monitoring, and control of all plant and equipment, ensuring compliance with best practices and safety standards.
Assist the P&E Admin in maintaining accurate and up-to-date records in the company’s P&E compliance management system, including asset and hire registers.
Collaborate with Project Managers and site Supervisors to source and procure plant and equipment in line with project needs and procurement protocols.
Assist in the generation of monthly reports for Weltec management meetings, detailing equipment performance, issues (e.g. lost, recovered, scrapped items), and current hire status.
Conduct audits and inspections of plant and equipment on sites and in the workshop to ensure they are properly maintained and meet statutory and company safety standards.
Perform PAT testing as required.
Respond to site requests for equipment support, troubleshoot issues, and carry out basic maintenance and repairs when necessary.
Assist the P&E Admin in coordinating with suppliers regarding warranty claims, repairs, and replacements.
Organise and facilitate the transfer and delivery of plant and equipment, consumables, and prefabricated materials between the workshop and project sites using company vehicles.
Personally deliver plant and equipment and prefabricated components to various sites as needed.
Key Skills and Competencies:
Basic skills, particularly in MS Word, Excel, and equipment compliance tracking systems (training and support will be provided on these systems).Familiarity with asset management systems using QR codes or similar technologies (training provided on Weltec's system).
Excellent attention to detail, organisational and reporting skills.
Strong communication, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
Ability to manage time effectively and work proactively in a fast-paced environment.
Relevant mechanical or electrical trade qualification is an advantage.
