We’re excited to welcome a dynamic and driven People & Culture Executive to join our team at the Hillgrove Hotel.
As a People & Culture Executive, you will play a vital role in creating a positive team member experience and driving a culture of excellence throughout the hotel. You’ll support the development, engagement, and retention of our incredible team while ensuring our values are reflected at every level of the business.
Key Responsibilities
Provide administrative support to the Cluster People & Culture Manager
Manage contracts, employee files, and ensure legislative compliance
Oversee statutory training and compliance with Health & Safety regulations
Support recruitment and selection processes
Administer onboarding for new team members
Maintain accurate personnel data across our integrated HR & Payroll systems
Monitor HR systems and ensure HRIS data integrity
Track absenteeism and support early intervention with management
Manage probationary and performance appraisal systems
Support compensation and benefits administration
Identify training needs and assist with implementation
Deliver induction and training programs as required
Compile weekly People & Culture and L&D reports
Ensure HRM compliance and escalate any non-conformances appropriately
Support managers with policy guidance and HR advice
Assist in managing departmental budgets and HR resources (uniforms, lockers, materials)
Ensure compliance for internal audits and group requirements
Communication & Engagement
Drive internal communications and maintain up-to-date channels
Coordinate social, learning & development, and wellbeing activities
Promote employee consultation and manage staff forums
Lead employee recognition and reward initiatives
Foster a supportive, open, and collaborative working environment
Requirements
2–3 years' experience in a similar HR role, preferably in hospitality
Strong knowledge of HR practices and employment law
Exceptional interpersonal, communication, and influencing skills
Experience using HRIS systems and handling confidential data
Strong administrative and coordination capabilities
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
