Nicholsons Pharmacy is a community Pharmacy based in the centre of Sligo Town. We are currently looking for an enthusiastic and energetic Pharmacy Technician who enjoys working in a fast paced environment. The ideal candidate should be passionate about working with others and take pride in their customer service skills.
Purpose of Role: To work as part of a strong dispensary team to support the Pharmacist to care for the community through dispensing prescriptions and advising patients.
Responsibilities
- To prepare and dispense medicines under the supervision of the pharmacist
- Ordering and controlling stock levels of medicines
- Preparation of blister packs
- Tracking the reimbursement claim
- Assisting in OTC Sales when necessary during busy times.
Skills Required:
- Pharmacy technician course
- Over The Counter Medicine Course
- Previous dispensary experience
- Excellent communication skills
- Friendly, hardworking, team player to fit into an already strong pharmacy team
The Pharmacy Technician as an important and valued member of the pharmacy team
- will support the pharmacist in all dispensary processes
- manage blister packing services and phased dispensing
- assist with PCRS claims
- help to organise specialist pharmacy services
- provide friendly and professional customer service
- be responsible for ordering and stock management
- have a pharmacy technician qualification or significant dispensary experience.
- Proactive in personal development and other projects and duties where they arise.
- The dispensing system used is MPS.
