Private Equity Internship – Le Chéile Capital
Location: Lucan, Dublin / Remote
Commitment: Minimum of 30 hours per week for the duration of the internship. High-performing interns may receive a full-time offer upon successful completion.
Who We Are:
Le Chéile Capital is a family of companies that invests in family-owned businesses. We're currently focused on acquiring an Irish-based SME and are looking for a motivated intern to join our small team and play a meaningful role in this mission.
The Opportunity:
This is a hands-on internship. You’ll be involved in every stage of the acquisition process—from researching industries and identifying targets to analysing investment opportunities and supporting live deals.
Key Responsibilities:
Industry Research & Analysis
- Conduct in-depth research across selected industries
- Develop investment theses and understand business models
- Analyse markets, financials, customer dynamics, and competitors
- Identify trends, pricing strategies, and operational models
Sourcing Acquisition Targets
- Build and qualify lists of potential acquisition candidates
- Conduct outreach to business owners
- Suggest improvements to sourcing strategies and workflows
Investment Memorandum Analysis
- Review investment memorandums from brokers
- Summarise key points and assess the viability of deals
Project Initiation
- Identify and propose value-adding projects
- Contribute to ongoing transactions for a real-world learning experience
Candidate Profile:
- Graduate, undergraduate or MBA student with a strong interest in business and investment
- Highly organised, analytical, and self-motivated
- Able to challenge assumptions and bring fresh thinking
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- A genuine drive to succeed and contribute meaningfully
