SLS Select Education have an exciting opportunity for a Sales Development Manager to join our innovative & fast-paced business at our Dublin Office, Ireland.
SLS Select Education is the leading supplier of school science equipment and chemicals in the UK and Ireland. We are a division of Scientific Laboratory Supplies (SLS), the largest independent supplier of scientific apparatus, chemicals and services within the UK and Ireland.
Job Summary:
Due to sustained growth a new opportunity has arisen to join our growing and successful team. Based in our Rathcoole office (Dublin area), the role is a 50:50 split between Inside Sales (revenue generating) and Sales Support/Development (enhancing customer experience) while supporting the existing Sales Manager through led activities delivering sales administration and tender responses.
An exciting opportunity to work in a hybrid style capacity, pan-departmentally across the education business in the Republic of Ireland. You will gain insight and experience into the complete supply process from tender preparation and sales initiation, through order handling, delivery scheduling and even helping to unpack deliveries at school sites, along with all the back-office processes taking place behind the scenes.
Key Responsibilities & Primary Duties:
· Contacting customers via phone/email.
· Growing sales/generating opportunities in new school accounts.
· Managing business relationships.
· Updating CRM system.
· Submitting quotations to customers for specific products/projects.
· Familiarisation with the tendering process for large projects and supporting STSM with the preparation of tender submissions.
· Advising customers on the status of their existing orders.
· Coordinating larger deliveries.
· Accompanying STSM for on-site unpacking of large deliveries.
· Coordinating email marketing campaigns to customers.
The Ideal Candidate
· The ideal candidate will have a broad knowledge of general science equipment used in teaching environments.
· A basic understanding of the scope and structure of school funding particularly the roles played by Education Training Boards (ETB’s).
· Computer literate with a good operational understanding of the Microsoft Office suite.
· Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple project streams.
· Strong verbal and interpersonal communication skills.
· Equally comfortable working in a team and autonomously.
· Some basic sales experience would be preferable but not essential.
· Some basic customer services experience would be preferred but not essential.
· A full driving license would be an advantage for the future development of this role.
