You will lead the source to contract process for one or more indirect categories. You will collaborate with internal stakeholders to influence sourcing strategy decisions. Your influencing skills will drive higher levels of spend to market and in turn deliver better outcomes for Verizon. You will collaborate on the development of statements of work, negotiate contracts, select suppliers and monitor their performance. Our purchasing power combined with your skills and expertise will help drive lower total cost for Verizon.Key Responsibilities:
Perform market analyses to identify new emerging suppliers.
Guide internal business partners through the source to contract process.
Develop category strategies and associated annual savings plans
Lead complex contract negotiations that deliver lower total cost for Verizon
Validate that suppliers uphold contract terms and conditions and in turn mitigate risk for Verizon
What we’re looking for...
You understand the source to contract process. You have demonstrated experience leading global indirect categories or equivalent experience. You are a relationship builder, external suppliers see you as an invaluable partner and internal stakeholders see you as a trusted advisor. You have no problem prioritizing multiple simultaneous projects and you’re no stranger to tight timelines. Balancing the intersection of cost, efficiency, and quality, you expertly negotiate the best outcomes for all parties.
You’ll need to have:
Bachelor’s degree or relevant work experience.
Significant category management experience preferably indirect
Experience negotiating and completing key strategic contracts
Senior stakeholder management up to and including C suite
Experience using R2P applications such as Ariba or Coupa
Even better if you have:
Supply chain certification, such as Certified Professional in Supply Management (CPSM) or Certified Purchasing Manager (CPM) from the Institute of Supply Chain Management (ISM).
Working knowledge of FP&A budget management process
Project management certification, such as Project Management Professional (PMP) from the Project Management Institute.
Lean Six Sigma certification.
